This poem reminds me of the great summer I had when I was seven. When I was seven I had my first experience of Camp High Harbor. Camp High Harbor is almost like heaven, although I have never been to heaven I am not exactly sure what heaven is like, but I bet its amazing because Camp High Harbor sure is. If I were to tell you everything I do at camp I would be writing a dissertation, instead I will give you a quick summary of what I do at camp. Camp High Harbor is divided up into one week sessions. It starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday. The first thing you do is take a swim test which is kind of a joke because you only swim a few yards. Then you go back to the cabin and hang out with your new found friends. During the week you have a schedule that you make up on the first day. There are lots and lots of skills, but the most popular one is bunbusting which is another name for tubing. I bunbusted a lot that week. By the way, bunbusting is the most exhilarating thing I have ever done in my life. You go through the week being exhausted after every action packed day. The last day, or the most fun day, is very exciting you complete your normal schedule, but at the end of the day there is a dance where you have to ask someone out to. That can get a little nerve racking. When you have to go home everybody’s eyes are filled with tears and you wish you could stay for an eternity, but you know that you have to get on with your normal life. The Poem of Remembrance reminds me of camp because when I read the poem I feel like the writer is talking about having the perfect summer and to me going to camp makes the summer the most perfect it can ever be.

Some people disapprove adding fluoride to water because of the possibility of getting dental fluorosis. Dental fluorosis occurs when the body has to much fluoride when this happens the teeth start to get brown stains on them and for most people that it undesirable. Also excess amounts of fluoride causes bones to be brittle. Other studies show in China that children overexposed to fluoride from drinking water have decreased IQ scores. That is why some people disapprove of adding fluoride to water.
I believe that adding fluoride to water would be a bad idea because of the numerous health hazards. I think that using fluoride in toothpaste is a good idea, but adding it to our drinking water is going to far. The idea is stupid because why not just brush your teeth everyday and avoid the health hazards of obtaining too much fluoride. Also I like the way water tastes, it doesn’t really have a taste but adding fluoride to water would make it taste like medicine. I believe adding fluoride to water is the wrong idea.
One technological advance was to find a fluoride-abrasive combination that worked, pairing stannous fluoride with calcium pyrophosphate. It launched this formula in 1955 as Crest and proceeded to dominate the fluoride toothpaste market for the next 10 years. Also in a children’s toothpaste there can’t be more than 500 grams of fluoride or it would be unsafe for the children. For adults there can be 1500 grams of fluoride before being considered unsafe. Also there have to be warning labels on the bottles that warn the users of the possible hazards of using fluoride toothpaste.
What concerns me most about excessive fluoride use is the fact that it makes your bones brittle. I play sports so I need my bones to be strong and if obtaining to much fluoride makes them weaker than I am at more risk of having my bones break during a tennis match or a wrestling match. My bones being brittle is a very big concern of my which is another reason why I think adding fluoride to water is a bad idea.
